1 lb. pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
1/2 cup tomato sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
1/4 cup sliced black olives
1/4 cup sliced red onion
1 tbsp. chopped fresh basil
1 tbsp. olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Cornmeal for dusting
MAKES 4 SERVINGS
Lightly dust a baking sheet with cornmeal.
Stretch the pizza dough to your desired size and thickness, and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edge.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the tomato sauce.
Add the pepperoni, black olives, and red onion to the pizza.
Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese and chopped basil over the top of the pizza.
Drizzle the olive oil over the pizza.
Season the pizza with salt and pepper to taste.
Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
